Ektoras was born and raised in Cyprus, and completed his education in the United States. He attended Berklee College of Music on a scholarship, and he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Music in Performance and a minor in musical theater.

He then attended Boston University, where he received his Master of Music in Voice Performance. During his studies in the USA, he got the opportunity to participate in the workshop process for two new musicals, and train with the Boston University Opera Institute.

He has been performing as a lyric baritone, and his career as a voice teacher has been focused on working with actors, professional, and pre-professional singers. He is passionate about giving people the technical tools needed to express themselves with ease and consistency.

Bianca Ogris is a dancer and dance teacher as well as a former artistic gymnast living in Vienna. Since she was three years old, the Carinthian native has been training in a wide variety of dance styles, devoting herself primarily to contemporary, acro dance, jazz, ballet, lyrical and commercial styles.

The highlights of her dance career to date include TV appearances (ORF, Die Große Chance 2024, solo act), video projects (INSPIRO 8 by Dane Bates in Liverpool), theater and musical productions (Klagenfurt City Theater, ensemble member) and participation in competitions at home and abroad with high placings (including Dance World Cup, Austrian Ballet Competition, ASDU, ESDU).

For around two years now, Bianca has also been passing on her knowledge and expertise to her students. In addition to the further training she has already completed, she will be trained as a dance instructor at the University of Vienna in the future. Her lessons are characterised by educational, varied and creative content that is taught with passion and joy. For the trained elementary teacher, learning through play is the main focus, especially when dancing with young children.

Yvonne grew up in Vienna and started dancing at the age of 3. The fascination for movement and rhythm first led her to Latin American children’s dance, before she discovered the world of jazz dance at the Performing Center Austria at the age of 6. There she expanded her dancing horizons with ballet lessons and deepened her passion.

At the age of 11, Yvonne attended tap dance and hip-hop classes. At the age of 9 she started to take part in the Austrian and European Open. In 2014/2015, Yvonne joined the contest group of Kristina’s Broadway Connection. Until 2018 she lived out her passion for dance in this group, refined her individual style and took part in new artistic challenges.

Since 2018/2019, Yvonne has been sharing her enthusiasm as a dance teacher with children from the age of 3 and adults. Her classes span jazz, ballet and hip-hop and are held at prestigious venues such as Danek Dance School, Kiddy Dance Club, KREADANCE, ferien4kids, United Ballet Schools and Das Prema.

Yvonne’s dance style reflects her diverse education and experience. She combines different styles and thus creates her unique dance language. For her, the stage is a place of expression where she shares her love of movement.

In addition to being on stage and teaching, Yvonne loves developing new choreographies and being creative. She strives to continually improve and pass on the art of dance.

Veronika started dancing rhythmic gymnastics and show dance at the TGU Salzburg club at the age of 5. She took contemporary dance at the Musisches Gymnasium in Salzburg.

In 2011 she moved to Vorarlberg, where she taught children between the ages of 8 and 15 in the TS Lauterach association.

Since 2017 she has been studying contemporary dance pedagogy at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna.

Teaching people in the dance hall is her greatest passion and she loves to choreograph.

Lilia Batyrev, Teacher for Acrobatics & Contemporary

Lilia was born in Germany and at the age of four started with rhythtmic gymnastics. As competative athlete she won multiple times the state competitions of Baden-Württemberg, the regionals for South Germany and in 2015 she became German Champion in rhythmic gymnastics.

Lilia always enjoyed the dancing aspect of gymnastics and so she decided to get an education in gymnastics and dance and she started working at a dance studio. She specialised on Acrobatic Dance and Contemporary. Lilia created choreographies for her students and brought them to the world championships 2018 in Portugal.

In 2019 she moved to Vienna to study Transcultural Communication with focus on Russian, her mother tongue.

Starting 2020, Lilia will be part of the team of Kristina’s Broadway Connection and teaching Acrobatics and Contemporary.

Zemfira is originally from Armenia, but grew up in Vienna. She found her love for dance very early. When she was five she started taking lessons in a private ballet school.

In 2007 she took the entry exam at the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera and passed it. Classical ballet was the focus of the professional education, but modern dance, jazz and historical dance were also part of the training.

Since then Zemfira participated in a number of productions in the Vienna State Opera, the Volksoper and Hofburg. These productions included classics like Max and Moritz, Nabucco, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Magic Flute, Fête Impériale, Chipollino, etc.

Over the years she developed an even greater interest in modern dance, therefore she decided to continue her education at the Music and Arts University and in 2017 she began her bachelor’s degree there in the stage dance faculty. Subjects such as modern dance, ballet, choreography and repertoire were part of her schedule.

During her four years of study, Zemfira performed numerous pieces in the Wiener Konzerthaus, in the Muth Theater and on the stage of the Music and Arts University. In November 2019 she danced for a week at the Nederlands Dans Theater, a respected dance company in The Hague. In 2020 she graduated from the Music and Arts University with a bachelor’s degree.

As of 2020 Zemfira will support the ballet eduction of our Contest Dance Team.

Bernadette Leitner, Teacher for Contemporary, Hip Hop & Jazz

Bernadette graduated from Iwanson International – School of Contemporary Dance in Munich.

After finishing her studies she had been working all around Europe in different Produktions and Theaters such as the Bayerische Staatsoper, Salzburger Festspiele, Bregenzer Festspiele, Theater Augsburg, Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen, Niederbayerisches Landestheater, Teatro Globo in Buenos Aires.

Bernadette danced and acted in the West Side Story, Cabaret, La Cage aux Folles, Carousel, Carmen, Die Csardasfürstin, … – just to name a few.

Recently she moved to Vienna to perform at the Theater an der Wien and at the Volksoper.

Bernadette has been teaching for many years. From Childrens Ballet or Kreativer Kindertanz to Contemporary and Jazz, she is able to teach every style and all levels.

She also had been working as a Choreographer for Theaters as well as for the independent scene, and we are glad to welcome her to the team of Kristina’s Broadway Connection.
